The concept for the proposed building is a direct response to the site location and views, whilst providing the living space and cafe facilities as required. The new building will offer far greater outdoor and indoor dining facilities. On warmer days the expanse of glazed folding screens will open up to blur the boundaries between internal and external spaces.

The private apartment to the rear of the first floor has great views towards Hurst Castle and Keyhaven.

The new proposed Marine Cafe will be able to offer cafe dining throughout the day and transform to a more intimate bar/restaurant in the evenings.

The cafe opened to the public in October 2010.
